Earlier this week, Crystal asked me to put together a thank you card for a co-worker. I think it turned out fantastic! I can't wait to give it to someone that deserves a great big thank you!

Pop-up Box Card
My scrappy friend, Crystal, hosted a crop at her house last weekend and as usual she out-did herself with the make-n-take! She taught us how to make super-fun and amazing pop-up box cards. We put together a really cute birthday card complete with "floating" balloons. I am going to give it to my mother-in-law for her birthday later this week. I know she is going to love it. :)

Fun In The Sun
My family took a trip to Navarre Beach, Florida back in 2009 and it is one of my favorite vacations ever. I long for the day when I can return and lay on that white sand beach and float in that beautiful blue water. Until then, at least I have a million photos to drool over.

Sparkly Sunday
Today I am showing off a new technique I learned at my LSS on National Scrapbooking Day. I used double sided adhesive, peel-off stickers, and silk microfine glitter all by Elizabeth Craft Designs. Once assembled, I "painted" my designs with Tim Holtz Distress Markers and American Crafts Stamp Markers. I am totally in love!

It's A Boy!
One of the girls in my Bunco group is having a baby boy next month so we decided to have a Bunco Baby Shower! I originally planned on making her a card to go along with the adorable little outfits I bought, but when I went to my local scrapbook store for cardstock, I found this really beautiful baby boy paper instead. It's called Special Delivery by Pebbles. I thought it would make a cute little baby book so I scrapped the card idea (*no pun intended LOL*), brought it home and got to work. I was pressed for time so I didn't embellish it as much as I would have liked, but I still think it turned out nice.

Home Cookin'
I've been wanting to make a recipe book for my mom, but I decided to do something a little different. I made her a book that she can store her own recipe cards in. I thought she would get more use out of something like this because I can't see her turning loose of her treasured recipe cards.
I used the Cricut Country Life cartridge for the adorable little country folk and sayings. I used the Cricut Artbooking cartridge for the actual pages and then I cut off the corner in order to make a handy-dandy pocket for housing the recipe cards. The paper is from the Country Kitchen collection by Farm House Paper Company. I put it all together with my awesome Cinch binding tool. I seriously love that thing!

Sparkly Sooner State
I was looking through Cricut Craft Room to see if they had any new, free images out there I might like when I saw the "50 States" images again. It reminded me of a tote bag I had seen for sale a couple of weeks ago. I still had an extra bag and some left over Cricut Iron-On material from Christmas so I decided to make myself a bag instead of buying one. I added a heart over the part of the state that I call home. It was a super quick, easy, and cheap project that turned out pretty cute!

It's a Cinch!
Guess what I got for Christmas?! That's right, a Cinch binding tool! It is amazing and so much fun to use! I have been trying to think of things that might need binding just so I can use it. :-)
I put together a Christmas mini-album using a festive kit from Echo Park Paper Company called "Reflections Christmas". There were so many cute stickers that sometimes I had a hard time deciding which ones to use. I still might go back and add on a few more when I am attaching my photos to the pages. I also used quite a few of the chipboard pieces. They were supposed to be self-adhesive, but they weren't as sticky as I liked so I had to add a little extra glue to ensure a good bond.
After many days of anticipation while working on my mini-album, I was so excited to finally use my Cinch! I used the .625" binding wire and quickly realized it wasn't big enough. I went to 4 different stores and nobody had the 1" wire in black. I ordered it online and will replace the .625" once the 1" shows up in a week or so.
Now for the final product! (I scraplifted the cover idea and two page layouts from embellishonline.com. I hope they don't mind!)
